Zoo Education Programs: February - March

Year of the Rabbit Celebration
Saturday, February 5th, 11am-12pm
Hop on over to the zoo to help us welcome the Year of the Rabbit.  Hear a story, make a craft, and meet the
animal-of-honor in person!  This program is for families with children 5 – 10 years old.  Cost: $10 per child;
adults attend free. No more than 1 adult per child, please.  Registration required; first-come, first-served; please
send in registration form below.

Winter Recess Open House
Tuesday, February 22 – Friday, February 25, 1 pm-3 pm
School is out, so come to our classroom, instead!  Families with children of all ages are invited to stop by our
classroom anytime from 1 pm – 3 pm to participate in various animal-related activities, games, and crafts at
their own pace.  A live animal will visit the room each day at 2 pm.  No registration necessary; adult must stay
with children in the classroom (not a drop-off program.)  (Most activities will be for children 2 – 12 years old,
but all ages are welcome.)

Family Frogwatch
Saturday, March 19th, 11am-12pm
Ribbit or croak?  What does a frog really sound like?  Come to the zoo and learn to identify the calls of our
local frogs and toads.  Then you will know what will be calling in your backyard this spring and summer, you
can be the wildlife expert when you’re camping, and you can even help scientists learn more about frog
populations!  This program is for families with children 10 – 15 years old.  Cost: $10 per child; adults attend
free. No more than 1 adult per child, please. Registration required; first-come, first-served; please send in
registration form below.
